About Our Client

PageGroup Scotland are delighted to be supporting Emblation - an award-winning medical technology company, revolutionising the way microwave energy is used in health-care. Their aim is to improve on traditional treatments, using the unique advantages microwaves deliver - accurate, repeatable procedures, and better clinical outcomes.

Their technology is revolutionising the treatment of HPV infections globally, and is widely used in Dermatology, Podiatry and Oncology, with a number of disruptive applications under development in the fields of Cardiology and Gynaecology.

The company was started in 2007 by joint co-founders (current Chief Executive Officer and Chief Technology Officer) and inventors behind the technology. They form part of the highly experienced management team with over 50 years of experience in this field.

You can now find Emblation's medical devices in 1000s of clinics and hospitals across the UK, the US, Canada, and Australia. They are just at the start of a journey and you will be joining the Emblation team at a key phase in their growth. Having recently secured additional investment into the business to fund the next stages of the company's development, underpinned by 3 primary goals:

  • Expansion into new treatment areas
  • Development of new markets and a wider global presence
  • The addition of new talent to our Scottish Headquarters to bring the skills and experience needed to support our plans for growth

Job Description

Responsibilities:

  • Manage current orders and production schedules at outsourced contractors, to ensure that there are no stock outs.
  • Maintain an open and informative line of communication with customers on delivery schedule.
  • Ensure accuracy of data records on the ESP system with a focus on stock levels
  • Accountable for ensuring the shipping of final product to customers meets the required delivery dates and ensuring this is appropriately communicated throughout the business.
  • Leading the customer returns process to ensure timely servicing and maintenance repairs to deliver the unit back in the hands of our customers within required SLA's.
  • A focus on operational performance measurement through regular reporting and understanding of departmental KPI's, variance in operations performance and ownership of performance improvement plans.
  • Internal development of processes to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

The Successful Applicant

To succeed in this role you will be an energetic, passionate, self-starter with a positive disposition You will have a strong desire to be part of a team and working environment which is focused on growth and be able to deliver the changes needed to deliver successful outcomes within supply chain aligned with business growth.

Skills and Experience Required:

  • Minimum of 5 year's experience in outsourced manufacturing supply chain
  • Degree or Qualified by experience in a general management, engineering or related discipline
  • Experience of working with Technical/engineering stakeholders
  • Proficient in the use of MS Office and ERP systems
  • Must work well under pressure, with the ability to cope with a variety of issues at once.
  • Possesses attention to detail and a right first time approach.
  • Strong negotiation and influencing skills at all levels of the business.
  • Able to demonstrate a collaborative approach to working effectively with multiple functions including Sales, Engineering, Purchasing, Production etc
  • Ability to manage workload and prioritise accordingly both autonomously and as part of a team
  • Willingness to undertake business travel if required
